I wanted to share a recent update from Google that highlights how search is evolving. And more importantly, how CommonPoint is staying ahead of it for you.

As you may have seen, Google is now displaying AI Overviews in many search results. These are AI-generated summaries that pull from trusted websites to answer user queries more directly.

Naturally, a lot of people are wondering: How do we make sure we still show up?

Here’s the good news:

Google just confirmed that AI Overviews are fueled by the same thing that has always worked: high-quality, helpful content created for real people.

There’s no new trick or “AI optimization” needed. If your site is publishing trustworthy, audience-focused content (which we’ve been prioritizing), you’re already on solid ground.

In fact, your content could be featured and cited in these AI Overviews, driving visibility and authority.

A few takeaways from Google’s update:

– AI Overviews use content from reputable sources. If your site is useful and well-structured, it may be included.

– The content strategy we follow (focused on relevance, clarity, and value) is exactly what Google recommends.

– There’s no need to chase algorithms. We’ll keep building content that helps your audience and earns trust.

Just a quick FYI to let you know I’m keeping tabs on this fast-moving space so you don’t have to. If you want to talk more about what this means for your content or strategy, let’s set up a time to chat.

P.S. Here the word from Google directly if you would like to read it.
